Not too long ago, my friend Sherry Patten, my brother Sterling and I visited the movie theaters in Burbank to see the new "Aladdin" feature, and one of the amazing things about this theater is that they have large "Stand up" displays touting upcoming movies. My brother couldn't resist taking a snap of me sitting with the Aadams Family as they pose to promote their animated feature coming out later in October. I tried my best to look "Ooky" enough, but Actually, I was really looking forward to playing with Uncle Gomez's Train Sets, and plotting further mayhem.

I checked out the teaser on YouTube, and there's a gag in there where Pugsley gets to show off his skills with explosives. Uncle Fester appears and exclaims a line used in a popular game in a high, squeaky "Jackie Coogan-ish" voice, so I believe the voices will be close to those used on the old 1960s T show.
If anything, that does show the fans who appreciate Uncle Fester will be pleased. Jackie Coogan came up with the voice for the character, and He "Made" Uncle Fester what he is.

Hmm... I am seeing the influence of Charles Addams, but there's also a touch of Terry Gilliam and perhaps Gahan Wilson. Pugsley's face and hair are off, but Fester...yes...
Did you know that Chas and Ray Bradbury were best buds? Ray's The Autumn People was supposed to be a collaboration with Chas, but at least we have From the Dust Returned (highly recommended -- yell at your library if they don't have it) with a cover by Addams.
