Whew, this one was pretty intensive. It was my first time painting a landscape, basing it off a photo, rather than the previous approach of processing and rendering the photo itself to look drawn. Feels more organic against the focus I'd say.

The photo in question was taken on my last trip up to the Boundary Waters between Minnesota and Canada. I don't recall which specific lake this was taken on, but it was a somewhat secluded campsite on an island. Contrary to the artistic liberties I took here, there was no grass in the photo, but since I found myself unable to "paint" the background as a whole, I settled for just the ground, and the clay-like dirt was not working out. I didn't cut any corners on Niti's presentation either, the shading is as optimal as I can reasonably get at this point in learning to use a tablet. I would be lost if I didn't keep the line stabilizer maxed out for almost everything I do.
