Rukis congratulations on bringing the story this far!
It not only turned into a wonderfull chapter thus far, but as a person who delves into these people their lives, I am loving the small nuances and hints you drop about in the last few pages. Especially for Amon, whilst Dhaval and Isolde also got a few, I cannot stress how much this has been an enjoyment!
From Amon's regrets he has made throughout his life, of which the Purveyor is one of them. To his admittance of love to Luther and unable to coop with it because of his past experiences, but also what the future holds. To seeing him waver with Dhaval in a sense, mostly as he sees himself in Dhaval too much and wishes to shelter him. But he knows he cannot… And to only start to realise that indeed Dhaval is there to replace him, as Amon his begun to loose his usefullness to Manjusha, partially at the behest of her mother as well.
To Isolde who showcases her feelings about Amon to Dhaval in a way and hints that Amon had a hand in her getting out of the indentured life. Yet she cannot wait forever for Amon to come to his senses on what he needs to do, starting to believe he is lost. Trying to help him, but having lost the will to do so.
To the story of Luther whome we all know, trying to understand Amon, yet with the jackal refusing unable to do so.
I know the above might have a few spoilers, but these can all be read currently. And maybe I am even wrong on a few things!... Although I doubt you'll say if any of these are 100% correct. However!
Amon:
- The Purveyor is one of Amon's previous regets, which is signalled by the nose stub… Also the person whome sells Amon drugs. Perhaps a previous lover? As signalled by Amon.
- Lord Rezanu was the man whome forcefed Amon the Divine when he was six during his first purchase (and subsequent?), who thankfully died.
- Later on Isolde comes into play when Amon is 5 years older, the two develop a somewhat romantic relationship, as far as that is able to go... With Amon eventually buying out Isolde? (As Isolde mentions that Amon has done such a thing before... Perhaps Isolde's first night? And subsequently her freedom?)
- Don Coros was the man who nearly broke Amon's back when he was in his late 20's, making the whore less usefull at his job and rely more on Divine to help his back problems.
- He purchased Dhaval's first night to preven the horrors he went through to be put upon the tiger.
- Realising Dhaval is his replacement, yet still trying to take care of him… Not wanting the guy to be stuck in this hell like he is. (As said: "Ones hell is by his own creation, unable to leave, yet destined to prevent others from entering."
- Has fallen in love with Luther and dares not admit it out of fear of having the same thing happening to him all over... Or to Luther as has been the case with the Purveyor (?)
- Sold by his mother to pay of a debt of a stolen item, only for his mother to have died of disease.
- His father to have been so near to him, to reclaim him, only to have never met the man anymore past age 3(give or take)… Betrayed by Manjusha's mother.
- To have Rajne 'honour' her deal with Amon's father Kedar, only to put him in a slow hell opposed to the fields.
Man reading this over... And I didn't even put all the theories and facts in, the above is heavy!... Are we sure Amon isn't superanthro?!
