Jaggiri build their houses out of clay, then smooth the insides. On the outside they cover it with a slurry of resins oils and the like, They then fill the soon to be house with flammable items like scrap wood and old rugs soaked in oil ad fire the whole structure in place. Very much so. there are houses thousands of years old, still inhabited, and often "Ruins" can be rehabilitated quickly, unless the done had cracked, and re-inhabited. The extents of their ancient holdings can be traced by these distinctive dome houses through out the lands.
Well it's an adaptation of a "coil made" ceramic pot, but instead of coils of clay, rolled into "snakes" and then coiled to make a bowl, They use Wet bricks, "col them in an ever increasing height, then dome it, with a hole at the top, and then fire it for days, once it has dried (like adobe). So it's a modification of existing techniques, just made really large.
