Mara, previously drawn as the example of a vampire, was born to feral parents but, fortunately, raised in civilization. Her clothes are intended to conceal enough of her body to minimize the effort of creating illusions: long sleeves hide her wings and minimize visibility of her hands, boots (as well as longer coats, if need be) cover the majority of her feet, and tinted glasses protect her light-sensitive eyes. The silver pentagram medallion is purely for show.
