Last week I wanted to try something different: I wanted to make a dragon with *0% hand-drawn textures*! Everything except the model, from the horns, eyes all the way to the wings and the scales, are all procedurally generated using shaders and math. Call it the dragon algorithm!
Also, I don't really play or know Spyro in general. It was a gift for someone and I just took their avatar and imagined the rest myself. I just wanted to take something "mainstream" before I start making my own dragon(s).
I then wanted to make a cinematic "splash" off of it, which is the final pic. It took 2 days to get the final look I wanted. During this time, I tried different poses and scenes.
*Render stats:*
Fluid simulation time: around 1 hour on Intel i7-8750H
Render time: 44m54s on Nvidia RTX 2060
