The in-universe equivalent of a werewolf, Pawel has possesses the ability to morph his body into a larger, more bestial form. Carried out at a secret prison facility, Pawel was subjected to magic- and radiation-based experiments which granted him his new ability.

Though the project--intended to create obedient super-soldiers--was also meant to destroy the subjects' sense of individuality, Pawel retained his personality and has no intention of blindly following orders. Needless to say, the war veteran turned mobster turned werebeast is not happy.
