Finally...finally, finally finished with a version of this character I truly love. They are what I dreamt about many years back, and they are finally 'brought to life.'

About the Species:
Gaia is part of a species known as "Asim." Each large segment of earth, like the Saharan Desert or the Amazon Rainforest, has an Asim to protect the forest. Asim's have many different looks, but whatever original shape they take is to help blend into their environment. Their environment is their home, and they'll do as much as they possibly can to protect it. Some are more aggressive about protecting, going out of their way to harm humans that look to destroy their home, while others, like Gaia, do their best to protect it without interfering. Each Asim is immortal as long as their habitat is alive, but can still be damaged by extreme mortal blows. In Gaia's case, you can tell how well the forest is doing by the wood that grows from their feet. As their forest dies, Gaia becomes more and more wood. In their final moments, they will blossom into a giant 'mother tree' in hopes to revitalize the forest, but now a forest without Gaia to protect it. The blossoming gives the forest a second life, destroying any unnatural material in its vicinity, and sprouting other minor plants and trees to help it begin once again. Hopefully, it will never come to that.

Gaia's Characteristics:
-Content, passionate, forgiving, and resents violence. Is curious and afraid of humans, but stays in the safety of their forest.
-The ref shows Gaia's natural form.
-Has human hands to help them climb and use things. Still runs in a bipedal, almost wolfish fashion.
-Their large bushy tail can be used to wrap around Gaia to hide from onlookers.
-The two smaller tails are vine-like and help Gaia grab things and climb trees.
-Is part of an asexual species, with no set gender.
-Their face is made of wood, and cannot eat nor drink. Their species do not require sustenance.

Gaia's Abilities
-Can heal any natural plant or animal (based on what their magic sees as natural) with a touch of their nose. The orbs around their eyes glow when they do this.
-Immortality as long as their forest survives. Still can be affected by serious mortal blows.
-Cannot speak, but is telepathic (rarely chooses to speak to anything but the animals it crosses paths with).
-Their tail is large in size and capable of wrapping around Gaia when needed to hide. The tail can take the shape of a mossy bush, or tree leaves (if they are hiding in the trees), or anything to help them blend into their environment effectively.
-Their fur can also change their colors to fit in. Think sort of chameleon-like.
-Has pores in their ears that can release large quantities of GABA (Gamma- Aminobutyric Acid) chemicals that will render anything affected by it soothed and relaxed.
