Hee! I still have that picture, but I recognized his tribal regalia (including his Veteran Tooth-Gathering Necklace) and his unexpected cheek scar (that cut his orbit and brown, but missed his eye) in this newer illustration as well. :) I wasn't sure of his relationship to Asheru in the older picture, but the fellow to Asheru's left looked a lot like Asheru by posture and features, and suspected the older fellow was a familial or at least tribal relation of some variety. In this picture here, I can clearly see how much he looks in his own way like his Great-niece and Great-nephew. If Asheru's wolf-folk are at all patterned on the Celts/Gaels or the Dacians (in relationship to Magnus' Roman-like society and military, which Asheru, and their part, I have assumed acted as a 'native agent' and guide for), I suspect tribal lives can often be cut short by hunting, war or disease. That this fellow has lived to sire cubs, who themselves have had cubs, is impressive in its own, and I suspect he is of considerable potency as an elder, tribal advisor, teacher and warrior.

Very much so but he respected his brother, and nephew not to sire children within the pack,. The taller Lupine next to Asheru is her brother Brykimo, or just Bri. He already has spent a year as a native guide, and has returned with some cash and good for the rest of the clan, like knives and buckles and other small forged items that the locals can't so. The uncle had a long imperial service as an Auxila and scout, and yes an fight like a MoFo, which is why everyone else in the tribe grew up so damn well adjusted. He taught the prsent alpha all the tricks as well. Probably the next generation will send one or two sons or daughters out for imperial service.
2Paw is both tall and wide, Good Fellow Giant! ^_^ I agree about Asheru's folk in particular; a lot of extra unneeded weight in daily activity would be more of a hindrance than anything else. Some extra muscle, if not absurdly so, would be useful, but not common in such societies, at least if one was able-bodied and about their range hunting and working a proper hands-turn each day.
