Hey all.. Just another slow progress month. Made attempts to reconnect to a new Rhue doc at the UW west and it was just a complete and utter train wreck of a situation. Sadly it appears the doc we hunted for and went to arthritis support groups to find recommendations for... got fired because they were treating "more" than RA symptoms. And I don't know how many of you understand disabled lifestyles, but... these inflammatory diseases go WAY past "just swelling" and ruin every part of your life. It's a complete life disruption. The nurse practitioner was extremely rude and dismissive of my case. Unfortunately it felt like the moment she walked into the appointment, saw me crying, she got... angry and defensive with us and refused to actually review my case by talking over us and making lots of very rude remarks about how I'm fat and probably have diabetes, I chew my nails and that's makes it my fault that I'm sick. At the end of the appointment, the doc said they don't like my medication list, won't give it to me and doubts I even have RA. And left.
... So we're never going back to UW west for anything. Fuck UW health. Oii.... Going to head back to my general practitioner at the GHC clinic and try to get... any rhue docs that don't belong to UW. I tried to hunt down the doctor who got fired, but they now only work for the VA (veterans?? no access for someone like myself). So huge bummer all around.
Been a very long and rough month for me mentally. Lots of drowning it feels like. But so many good things to look forward too I can't be too sad for too long, right??
