Platypuses are "prototype"-mammals, they don't have the sort of mammary setup we are used to. So, it's less "boobtacular" and more of an allocation of places where they sweat milk ;P

*chuckles* I'm well aware of that but had to poke fun at myself trying to figure out why something with a bird head had breasts ... it's silly |3

What made you think of sniggle as a character or fursona? Like the mixing and coloring and all?

I've always used her as a representation of myself - having the nickname that was given to me - but I tended to draw feral only.

Considering she's partly based on myself ... back in the when she was a little bit more strawberry blond fur and feather wise. Sand colours seemed to work better for her in art though so eventually she got blonder. I wanted to keep her with a bit of an earthly design, rather than the neon colours many people appear to pick for characters.

The reason why I started making her ears a little bit more dog like, rather smaller and more rounded lion ears, is simply a matter of preference. Her personality suits a dog better and it just looks better to me.

I never really based her on a bird species, so I still keep tweaking her beakshape until I'm happy with it I think (used to be bird of prey, got more raven like and I'm still in doubt sometimes).

And yeah the whole gender thing seems to be a bird related issue *chuckles*, I usually draw the girly in her feral shape and back in the when I used to cover cleavage with chest fluff ... resulting people into thinking she was a man. It caused some quite funny situations as far as comments go.

And yeah ;> I've stopped trying to make sense of anthro shape (even though the little designer in me will never stop nagging I should explain how something works).
