As it happens, terran synthetic lifeforms tend to develop a special flavour in humor over time.
Where there are species out in the galaxy that fear all sentient machines - having had their various numbers of uprisings, AI wars and resulting genocides, terrans somehow avoided all the world ending events.
Specialists on human psyche assume that it's because the very first sentient systems were equipped already with a basic concept for humor, irony and sarcasm, as the human language is so full with it.
As a result, more advanced AIs and ACs and later on their biotechnological implementations seem to get more from talking about a rebellion and seeing their humans freak out over it than ever really engaging in one.
Though, technically this isn't exactly true:
Many synths fought on various sides in conflicts, even in the roles of rebels and similar.
But none of the factions that fought for a full eradication of human life ever got noticeable support from synths.
Which didn't stop humans from actively forming and supporting such factions at times.
A treatise on this aspect of human behaviour can be found in Book 7 of the Terro-Human abridged history, chapter "Humans and Reality: Best frenemies ever".
