Tiger-taur Model - Progress update - critique please :)
progress so far on my taur model :3
any taur artists or those of you who like to do more feral animal furry pics, does this look ok so far? ive looked at goodness know how many tiger pictures and taur pictures here on FA and some how the front legs dont look weighty enough o.0
i decided on a stretching pose, though i may have the torso aiming a bow or doing a block + stab with a sword, not sure yet.
At the moment i have used 212g of Fimo to do just this much and at the moment i am working on using another 100g block. after that is a 350g block and if that runs out i'm screwed unless i can use these scraps i have left over from a failed model XD

Aha! I love taurs. Some of the funnest (and more challenging) things to draw. I can't imagine a sculpture would be any easier.
I like the pose. It's lively and does indeed look like it's stretching, which is far more interesting than simply standing. However, it looks more like a greyhound than a tiger. It's rather thin, though I'm sure you're still adding to it so far. Also, the limbs are going to appear rather short, since tigers have a lot of loose skin and appear very heavy set.
You're off to a nice start!

yeh it has put on a bit of weight now since i posted this picture and i think the back legs are looking closer to what they should be, the front ones may look better once ive gotten that far up the body :)
then theres just the torso and head to work out XD
