"I have come for you," the voice on the breeze whispered. An old leaf rustled... she knew the sound well, countless times she had heard it - and countless more time she will...
"Have you come for my story?" the leaf asked. Golden eyes smiled back at it, peacefully. The Wisdoms of the past told that those eyes needed no words, and they were right. "I am ready," it rustled once more as it was cradled softly in the entity's palm. It relaxed gently, admiring the beauty that was Sienna. She was the embodiment of the season to come, her colors as warm and comforting as her touch. The leaf knew that death was not cold, nor to be feared. It was a warm embrace, and being immortalized with the Wisdoms - the immortalized stories of all leaves that were before. Warm... safe.
Sienna would not speak again, all the Wisdoms agreed she merely informed you she had come. If you had something to finish up she would come back later once you had done what you needed to.
The Wisdoms were indeed filled with wonderful stories - some passed on from wandering butterflies and birds, the occasional residential squirrel. Once there was even a cat up their tree that told tales of humans as she waited what felt like an eternity to be taken down. The leaves knew enough about humans, but nothing behind closed doors, so the cat's input was welcome.
This particular leaf had not accomplished anything spectacular, nor evolved into anything of note. It was simply a leaf and it did its very best for its tree from the beginning of its existance to its final moments cupped in the palms of Sienna. Sienna shed a tear for it, admiring how it gave its all. "I wish for my Wisdom to be... sometimes just being what you are is all you need to be," it rustled calmly, the last greenery fading from it's form. Sienna nodded, holding her hand up to the bar
