Within the tale, the Badger-Muncher takes control of Ken, forcing him to press down on a switch given to him by Tauriel, a mysterious foe. Once Ken pushed down, he turned into this.
Instead of the classic design of the Badger-Muncher, this one is more different. Its fur pattern is arranged differently, to give an 'uncanny valley' esque look to him. Like someone described a Badger to him, rather than shown him one. The badgerface on his belly is gone and his eyes are now a deep red, his hunger now unsateable. A true nightmare.
