☆ about the species ☆
as mentioned, elysians' primary purpose is to reshape dying stars
and sustain the universe's constant change. the actual creation is done by
the empress, but each elysian is tasked with going out into space,
collecting the stardust, and bringing it back home.
their planet is, true to name, a perfect place - devoid of illness and death,
with a self-sustaining economy driven mostly by the production
and exchange of each kingdom's core food! the kingdoms -
candy, baked goods, savory foods, frozen treats, produce, and beverages -
are all inhabited by citizens made after foods from said native kingdom.

☆ building an elysian ☆
the most important part of any elysian's design is their signature food.
this will determine what kingdom they're a part of, as well as be the
center of their character design. an organic, non-expiring, non-changing
article of this food is always going to be present on their heads! it's part of
their body, and taking it off would cause them a lot of pain. in the event they
were broken or chipped, though, they'd grow back in.
their outfits and the colors of their accessories are usually related to their food,
and are almost always in bright, vibrant colors! elysians themselves are generally
positive, bubbly people to match the tone. there's no rarity attached to color
schemes or personalities, but having a dark, brooding elysian is very unusual.
(think grumpy bear vs. the rest of the care bears.)
☆ traits by rarity ☆
NO RARITY - ☆☆☆☆☆
colored sclera ; the sclera, or outer eyes, of elysians can be any color!
this is most commonly seen in having the entirety of the eye being different
shades of the same color, their blood color, but it can be a different color entirely.
shaped pupils ; the pupils, or innermost parts of the eye, can be any shape! while the
iris and pupils absolutely must match an elysian's blood tone, the shape is up to you!
this can include but is not limited to hearts, stars, moons, swirls, x's, etc.
human ears, tail, horns ;; while unusual, it's possible for elysians not to have kemono
features. they can be without any one of the listed traits (ears, tail and horns only)
or all three of them. these won't factor into their overall rarity at all.
type of feet ;; unlike the ears, tail, and horns, elysians must have digitigrade feet.
the type of foot they have is up to you! they can have paws, hooves, claws, or
any other kind of animal foot as long as the overall shape of the leg is digitigrade.
blood and skin tone ;; elysians' skin must be a color that naturally occurs in humans.
however, their blood can be any color, and may show through in places where the
skin is thin, like in the nose, cheeks, ears, and around the joints.
mixed traits ;; an elysian can have mixed traits (i.e. winged ears and
a furry tail) but they will be treated as having the overall rarity of the
higher rarity trait. so the previous example, having rare ears and
an uncommon tail, would be considered as rare.
COMMON - ★☆☆☆☆
demon ears and tail ;; demon ears are similar to human ears, but they're
much longer, and pull out into a pointed tip. the exact shape of the ears may
vary, some being longer and thinner than others. the demon tail is a simple, slim flesh
tail that typically ends in a spade. the spade may be any shape, or be absent entirely.
the ears should match the tone of the skin, but the tail can be colored or have markings.
horns ;; horns can be any size or shape, and can come in any color.
common horns come in a set of two, and are usually symmetrical.
eyes ;; eyes can come in various sizes, and can be moved around,
but only on the face. the color of the iris and pupil, the parts of the eye that
are usually colored, absolutely must be the same color as your elysian's blood.
common sets of eyes come in a set of two, and are usually symmetrical.
blood ;; blood can come in any single color. mixed blood colors are not
allowed. common blood has the same thickness and finish as human blood.
UNCOMMON - ★★☆☆☆
furry ears and tail ;; the furry ears and tail can be similar to that of any
regular earth mammal, as long as the animal has fur. (cats, dogs, bears, deer, etc.)
the fur may come in any color or pattern the designer wishes.
horns ;; horns can be any size or shape, and can come in any color.
the uncommon horn is only a single horn,
and can come from anywhere on the forehead.
eyes ;; eyes can come in various sizes, and can be moved around,
but only on the face. the color of the iris and pupil, the parts of the eye that
are usually colored, absolutely must be the same color as your elysian's blood.
the uncommon eye is only a single eye, and is usually larger than normal.
blood ;; blood can come in any single color. mixed blood colors are not
allowed. uncommon blood has the same thickness as human blood,
but has a shimmering finish, similar to that of glitter glue.
RARE - ★★★☆☆
winged ears and tail ;; the winged ears and tail can be similar to the wings of
any earth animal with wings. they can be feathered, batlike, or buglike.
the winged ears grow from the sides of the face, and the winged tail
is a smaller set of wings that grow out from the hips. elysians with
the wing trait may also have wings that grow from their back, but
back wings are not a necessity of the wing trait. however, elysians cannot
have back wings without having the wing trait.
horns ;; horns can be any size or shape, and can come in any color.
rare horns come in sets of three, and can be situated anywhere on the forehead.
eyes ;; eyes can come in various sizes, and can be moved around,
but only on the face. the color of the iris and pupil, the parts of the eye that
are usually colored, absolutely must be the same color as your elysian's blood.
rare eyes come in sets of three, and can be anywhere on the face.
blood ;; blood can come in any single color. mixed blood colors are not
allowed. rare blood is much thicker than human blood, more like
slime, and has large pieces of shaped glitter or small charms within it.
SUPER RARE - ★★★★☆
horns ;; horns can be any size or shape, and can come in any color.
super rare horns come in sets of four or more, and can grow from anywhere
on the head. while there is technically no limit to how many horns you can
have, we recommend keeping the number reasonable so that
the design isn't too difficult to recreate later.
eyes ;; eyes can come in various sizes, and can be moved around,
but only on the face. the color of the iris and pupil, the parts of the eye that
are usually colored, absolutely must be the same color as your elysian's blood.
super rare eyes come in sets of four or more, and can be anywhere on the face.
while there is technically no limit to how many eyes you can have, four plus
eyes is not interchangable with the eye growth mutation, and all the eyes on
the super rare level must be limited to the face.
blood ;; blood can come in any single color. mixed blood colors are not
allowed. super rare blood isn't a liquid at all, rather a very dense smoke.
MUTATIONS - ★★★★★
eye growth ;; growing extra eyes anywhere on the body. the eyes
can be of any size and in any number, but must match the eyes
on the face in color and in the shape of the pupils.
mouth growth ;; growing extra mouths anywhere on the body. the
mouths can be of any size and in any number, and are just as capable
of things like eating and talking as the normal mouth.
plant growth ;; growing plants anywhere on the body. this allows
pretty much anything that grows from the ground, including but
not limited to leaves, clovers, flowers, fruit, wood, and fungi.
this trait is most commonly seen in fruit kingdom residents.
tentacle growth ;; growing tentacles anywhere on the body. these
appendages may vary in size and color but are always prehensile,
meaning they can be used to hold or grab things. this trait is most
commonly seen in beverage kingdom residents.
slime body ;; having all or part of the body made up of slime.
while very viscous, the slime can be passed through without pain.
it's almost always the same color as the elysian's blood.
glass body ;; having all or part of the body made of glass.
glass body parts can be solid or hollow, and hollow glass
body parts can be filled with anything. no rarity is attributed
to the material(s) inside of glass bodies.
naga ;; having the body of a snake from the waist down.
naga bodies are similar to furry tails in that they can have
any coloration or pattern, but most commonly are seen
with patterns similar to real snakes.
taur ;; having the body of an animal from the waist down.
taur bodies can be any earth creature with legs, but are most
commonly large mammals. taur bodies take on the texture of
the animal (being covered in fur, hair, or scales) and
can come in any coloration or pattern.
