Sooooo I've been playing a fair bit of Rimworld lately with the Beast Man Tribes mod installed (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1119191638) and it's lead to some fun interactions, chief among them being this wolf lady which I've decided to draw cause she's the best :V

Meet Black Gusaibil a.k.a 'Mama', a 40 year old tribeswoman-turned-colonist from the settlement of Rogue Creek. She's a proficient gunslinger, an excellent cook, and an all-around fearless leader. Whenever she's not running caravans or holding off raiders, she spends most of her time cooking fine meals and tending to the needs of the rest of her colony.

She's not without her quirks though. She has a bit of a pyromania problem and a nasty habit of starting fires in the dead of night, which once resulted in most of the colony's food supply going up in flames

Though she's kept her settlement running smoothly for the most part, her life on the Rimworld has not been without hardship. She was once stabbed in her left leg while fighting a group of raiders, an injury which she never completely recovered from and still causes her pain to this day.
The worst tragedy that's befallen her however, was the death of her human husband Leo Ball at the hands of a deadly, virulent flu.

Despite all the trials of frontier living though, she soldiers on day after day in the hopes of one day finding passage for her and hers out of the Rimworld and into the stars

This was a fun project, and somewhat different from what I usually do. I didn't know Rimworld was such a good source of drawing and writing primers (though I guess it makes sense, really) and all in all was an interesting challenge to bring the character to life.

For those not in the know, Rimworld is a base-building survival game which randomly generates encounters and characters, assigning them different personalities, traits, quirks and skills. The story bit I wrote above (as well as her appearance) are based on interactions she's actually had in the game.

I have a few other in-game chars I could draw up as well, including a deadeye gazelle lady and a pair of lynx hunters. Depends on what kind of reaction this one gets I guess, but do let me know if you'd wanna see more.

Was also thinking about selling her as a char but honestly I'm too in love with her at the moment so guess we'll see :V

Anyways I had fun with this. Never a bad time to draw a gun-toting wolf mom XD
