Into The Woods - Agony (collab duet cover /w jazzypanda)
Hello beautiful people!
I love doing collabs, even when they often cost a chunk more effort and patience
...but there is nothing like singing together in harmony - literally and figuratively.
And I rarely do them these days... or, alas, you could say that the number of collabs I have planned or initialized is much bigger than the number I have finished.
The happier I am that there is now one more done.
Together with the very VERY talented
jazzypanda we decided to do this collab. I've found this song by reading up on male/male duets.
I've watched the movie only after I have learned this song - and if you like fairy tales and musicals, then you might love it.
What is happening in this song is: 2 needy Prince Charmings lament about their failed attempts to conquer the hearts of Cinderella and Rapunzel, respectively.
The whole plot is a crossover of 4 fairy tales.
I'm proud glad to say, that we are both quite happy about the outcome! :D
Please be so kind and give dear
jazzypanda some love. He has a rough time and seems to have little time for his passion - singing - these days.
And believe me, you don't wanna miss out on his other awesome musical performances in his gallery!
- His upload -
I can also humbly add that I did the mixing this time. I used Ardour 5 as my DAW again.
I hope y'all enjoy this. Thank you alot for listening. Critique is welcome.
- The Lyrics -
Song written by: Stephen Sondheim
Oh, and if you like Into The Woods, you will most likely also love this medley for an other incredibly talented singer on YT.

Thank you!!!
Well, what choice did we have? :3 The internet makes it possible! YAY!
A piece of trivia: Unlike in many other film productions (everything from Disney for example), the songs here weren't translated into German (at least) and resung but left in English and subtitled.

Hey Bandit. Thank you very much!
I'm astounded myself. I sang my part first, so it was Jazzy/Kevin who matched my timing and expressions so perfectly and added so much of dynamic expression in his own part himself.
On the other hand I had tried in the mixing to give the voices some kind of a stage feel, although we sang it in a studio situation. I think I succeeded there on his vocals a bit more than on my own.

Thank you so much. This is a very nice thing to say!
Btw - You were one of the few people in the fandom who inspired me to delve into Musical-style music and combine singing with (voice-)acting. I muchly enjoyed your rendition of that Little Mermaid song back then.
So thank you, too! :3
