Hey folks sorry for the inactivity here! For some reason FA wasn't cooperating with me and i couldn't log in, but its fixed now
so anyways
here is A Post Pulse Drawing, so back to the apocalypse, this was requested by one of the folks in the discord channel for the DragonScape! Which is exciting and I had a lot of fun with this. I normally do daily doodles and wanted to take a request for a larger drawing and I don't think the requestee was dissapointed by their reaction so thats great.
City ruins in the Post Pulse world are hard places for drekir survivors to live. The food had rotted away decades before they woke up and most of the technology is inoperable. the only things worthwhile in these cities are usually the surviving bits of tech and the vast resources that can be scavenged from the cities. But the main things to survive, food and water, are mostly in short supply.
Due to this life in a city is hard, with only scant villages surviving in the concrete ruins, often conflicts break out over what little remains in the overgrown city ruins and these villages rarely number above 50 individuals. the resources just aren't there for any more people to survive in the hostile environment.
But there are advantages as well
The Sivilao caste dragons that frequently attack drekir towns and take drekir away back to their ofuthar cities are superstitious of human ruins. They don't buy the story of drekir who said that they were humans in the past who built these cities. for one they're drekir and not humans, and two all humans the sivilao have ever seen come from across the oceans and therefore, are not part of this world.
As such the sivilao often refer to these places as "Krudomar" which roughly means "The Dark Forests" The sivilao are unnerved by these ruined skyscrapers and, while they can tolerate smaller towns and smaller city ruins, many a caste dragon regardless of kingdom and creed will refuse to go into a ruined metropolis. It's terrifying to them, it also doesn't help that sivilao easily get lost in the alien grid based structure of cities. However since drekir often lived in these places prepulse they know these cities well and often drekir from villages nearby city ruins will flee into them during sivilao assaults in their towns.
So while life is hard in the cities, it is also safe from the caste dragons that are an ever present threat in many regions of the dragonscape.
Shaggy out!
