-oh wait, I guess we do.
After having Frost's original badge turn out fairly well, I decided that I'd try making a few more. These were actually kind of fun, since I tried to theme them a bit to whomever they were depicting.
Over the course of making these, I also switched from laminating by hand using some self-adhesive stuff from Michaels, to using a Xyron that I got really cheap. I apologize to Kit for the bit of a crease in the lamination on hers, because it was the first one done while getting used to the new thing. I also found out that once it goes through the machine, there is no re-do, unlike with the stuff I had been using before. D:
Since Frost already had a traditional looking badge, I decided to play around a bit and made the sprite badge. I think it came out really cool looking. :D
Also, next time I will remember to actually put space on the top for holes for clips and such. Oh well, live and learn.
Anyway, like I said, these were a lot of fun, and I learned a bit about putting them together and laminating and whatnot, so I would call the whole thing a success!

Perhaps the bear will be next time? :O
And yeah, Michaels sells this stuff they call "Self Adhesive Laminate sheets" (rolls right off the tongue, I know) that is basically one long roll of plastic laminate. Cut the size you need, apply to front, cut another piece, apply to back, trim as needed. It is a lot more work than sticking it in a thingy and turning the crank, but the results aren't bad. (Tally's and Ace's badges are laminated with that stuff. :O) It's a bit thicker than the other laminate, but it has the slight advantage of being repositionable if you are very careful about removing it. The other stuff is super permanent, so once it's on, you would destroy everything by trying to remove it.
