*Will be put into scraps in a few days.
The beginning of the year was slow, thanks to school. No school work is showed here because I don't feel it was my best.
This meme isnt entirely accurate month wise. In order to fill in blanks, I took approximative dates. For instance, September was drawn at the END of August, so, I just put it in September's spot.
It was a tough rest of the year by July. I had to move into my first apartment, and learn to be an adult. I also had to quit freelancing as my main source of income(in order to make sure the bills at the new apartment would be paid. Personal art commissions aren't stable enough for me at the moment. Not enough offers, too many cancelations thanks to mr. shitty economy amongst other things. ) So a bit of emo was felt on my behalf. I felt defeated because I went from doing what I wanted to do for a living, to going back to work in retail(which I dreaded). Little to no work was produced in this period. I realized I shouldn't be so down on myself, because I'm not even done illustration school yet anyhow. The retail job(at an artstore, which I should be happy for) is just temporary. My ego was just bruised I guess.
Despite dissapointments, I have a lot to by happy about:
I got published in Prehistoric Times
I was in 3 big(my first) art projects. The Anthro Art Anthology, The Pinup Portfolio (which I had directed and created), and the Anthro Calendar. I was also invited into 3 others to be printed this year.
I also had my art in my first artshow, and did very well. :)
So yep..this is just the beginning for me.
Sorry for the ramble :)
I'm alright now, and I hope that my tiger from December won't be the last pic of this year despite the busy holiday season!!! Thank you for all the encouragement you have given me over the year guys, I appreciate it. :)
I have tons of ideas, and I never get the majority on paper. I really hate myself for that. New years resolution: draw more, despite how tired and busy I am with school and work.

It is awesome that the Celtic Lioness that inspired Briana is in the April compartment.
it is hard to tell which is my favorite of the year, but I would have to say January, March, April, May, June, September, October, November and December. they are all very georgous.
