While farting around with the Captain Kid character I made a few weeks ago, I started thinking "What if I had a team of pre-teen superheroes?" I mean, it's not exactly well-trod soil in comic books; the only pre-teen hero team I can remember offhand is the Power Pack. So...who else do I have that could be de-aged without losing their uniqueness?

In Girlpower's backstory, I stated that she was once the "kid sidekick" to the Captain Marvel-esque "Manpower" (does that mean his anthor counterpart is named "Horsepower?") before he vanished and she went solo. Originally, she was going to go solo as a teen...but what if she did it earlier, or even started breaking out on her own while her mentor was still alive and kicking?

At the very least if I don't use her for my "Kid Avengers/JLA Jr." idea, I can use this for the teenage GP's "sidekick" appearance.

And yes, she IS wearing bike shorts under her skirt, a'la the controversial new Supergirl look. First off, she's friggin' 10-years-old, give or take, I'd like to keep my lolicon stuff and my superhero stuff in their own separate boxes, OK?

And secondly, she actually makes the look work. *snap-snap-snap, girlfriend*
