when you walk, i beg, eschew the road and seek a trail
secrets, mysteries, and life you find along the trail
life is spent in momentum forward, eyes that never move
the map misses secrets, but a glance reveals the trail
profess yourself a traveller, hold dear the life you find
the path may curve, twist, become rough, as you seek the trail
and yet the trek grows long, even the hardy will tire
the traveller hopes for a partner along the trail
walking the road with Gustav, you will find a wand'ring eye
with you, his hope, a friend he will find, to walk the trailInspired by Gustav, a character of
's, and a favorite of mine!
