It reminds me of my mate (who is a wolf), and we cant visit each other because of all the heavy snow. I miss him dearly, just as I miss you.

Part of the magic of Christmas is that it gives us all the chance to see ourselves as someone better. That's the wonder of it. So my little moon-lit wuffy feels an illumination that gives him an unexpected warmth inside.

Christmas is the one day of the year when we are urged to think not of our selves, but of others -- and surprisingly, it feels good! Having you and Wuff as my loved friends is one of the best Christmas gifts I could ever hope for. Thank you for being who you both are.

Perhaps that is one of the thoughts crossing his mind, but the pull of the moon is strong too. Being a werewolf tends to make you a slave to that pull, but for once, there is a warm glow that touches him, and that is the wonder of Christmas.
I rarely use photos for backgrounds in my artworks, but in this one the background is made up from a combination of two (heavily reworked) photographs. The mountains are from Mount Washington in Shelburne New Hampshire and the closer hills and moon are from a night photo taken in Montana.
