So here's the finished Hyena Brigade costume of "General Grrsn."

Nice Garand.
Never been able to find a garand in good condition that I could afford, but its on my list should opportunity arrive.
I won't make comments about the sword...
I make them professionally, so I'm biased about blades.
And you don't really need one for cosplay that would cost about as much as the rifle did...

The sword I picked up for $10 at a flea market.
I used to have a reproduction of "Strider's Sword" (not Anduril, the other one) that was beautifully balanced, and I bought for $40 at another flea market at the WV State Fair. It's visible in my avatar photo.
It was stolen in a home invasion several years ago.

It's funny, when I was wearing the uniform and talking to my two friends earlier, I was standing with my hands clasped behind my back--the same way I often draw Fred. It was not done intentionally, it just felt natural to do that--partly because the medals and belt made it difficult to do anything else with my arms!
