5/21/'19: My team's eliminated! ;-( (I have a wig!)
If you know me, I'm from the SF Bay Area, and I'm a fan of hockey. It is fitting that I would love the San Jose Sharks ( https://www.nhl.com/sharks/ ) to win the Stanley Cup as champions. NOW YOU SEE ME SAD... I did put on a black and teal wig to hope for any luck for my team to win, but they could not as they lost to the eventual Western Conference champions, the St. Louis Blues ( https://www.nhl.com/blues/ ) in the best-of-7 series, 4-2.
Oh well, like they say, "There's always next year," but for some that are on the team, there won't be as some will retire, be a free agent or get traded.
I did put in response to Tealeaf Raccoon (no FA) who did post a picture on Twitter that he was sad that his Toronto Maple Leafs ( https://www.nhl.com/mapleleafs ) lost as well; and felt what he felt when it happened: https://twitter.com/tealeafraccoon/.....65595795361793
Yes, the wig that is one side black and the other, teal- I got it some years ago, and it was that day that decided to wear, but I do like it! So if it is that I should go to to a game IN FURSUIT (Yes, there has been some accounts on Twitter that you CAN fursuit at games!), I will wear when the Sharks are playing, or any event that includes the Sharks! And to note, it is removable-I did not sew it on, and you will see Cory's hair in most days, gray.
No, this shade of teal is not blue!
Emotionally, I feel blue that the Blues won , but I guess I can cheer for them because like the Sharks, they never won; but are older than the Sharks. Also, sentimentally, I will passively cheer for the Blues because they are playing for a girl with a rare disease, and I do not want Boston to keep winning-they have enough- The Patriots ( https://www.patriots.com ) have won basically, EVERY year, and the Red Sox ( https://www.mlb.com/redsox ) won 4 titles since they broke their 86-year curse of no championships put on Babe Ruth. The Bruins ( https://www.nhl.com/bruins ) had won one in 2011- Boston has enough to celebrate about!
