So you get one fox of the blue-nosed Equium variety, and one French piano lion of the
karuno variety and we have a wonderful collaboration!
The original melody for this was devised on the piano by the wonderful Karuno, and I tweaked it with orchestration, and we then re-tweaked it together. Between us we've put together a gentle piece of music which tumultes to a sudden crescendo.
Contains: Piano, Violins, Cellos, Bass, Flutes, Clarinets, Percussion, Choir.
This was fun - hope you enjoy the result! (Even if the glockenspiels need to be a bit louder... oh well.)

Very good stuff as usual Eq! Equal credit of course going to your accomplace, Karuno.
Aptly named, could easily be in an appropriate place in Castlevania. Though a handful of other things come to mind as well. I'd consider that a good thing, no?
One thing I thought of, the most interesting among them, was a young Japanese boy who becomes an orphan early on, somehow makes his way to England, begins to do well for himself (or perhaps rediscovers his heritage or some combination of the two), gets mixed up in something bad, and then meets a tragic and panicked end.
^^' I know, I must sound crazy *shrug*

Considering I'm about as familiar with Castlevania as I am with Korean coastal erosion through longshore drift, I'm going to have to take your word for it on that one. But hey - the music painted a picture for you and from the picture you got a story - and that IS a good thing. That's what music should do - every time.
Glad you liked it!

XD sorry about that. I found some Castlevania music, I tried to pick out a few decent examples, but I've never played the game I found music for.

Heh, and you've a truly admirable point about that. Music without lyrics should create stories, or at least help tell them. (Of course the ones with lyrics do that too, but that's sort of different, eh?)
But yeah, definately an awesome colab guys.

You know, this made my day, with all the snow we've had dumped on us over the last few days here in southeast UK, its been a pain, all I've heard are complaints from people about it, messing with the roads, the trains, everything. However today, when I played this I took a look out of the window at the snow all around, sparkling under peoples christmas lights and it made me see just how beautiful it is.
So thank you for this beautiful, moving piece, very well done

This tune really struck a chord with me (no pun intended). Whilst being a really nice piece to listen to, it made me reflect on a journey I've taken. The slightly somber mood of the initial section, like one is thinking about or reflecting on something in the past that they have fond memories of that is no longer.
The first change then felt like the process of moving away from it and enjoying brighter prospects. Generally had a more upbeat mood.
The second change at the end (possibly a future event for me, heh) something going wrong... then exit stage left.
Loved it overall. ^.^

Ah, so this is the final score (pun intended?)... The first section sounds like that foreign tune you played me of pensioners jumping in puddles and such. I can tell you orchestrated the last segment - it's got you written all over it.
Personally, it made me think more of a departure at midnight, as opposed to a landscape (though one would be travelling through it, of course). I'm glad it's gone down well for you. What I might encourage you to do next time is to perform more live parts and use less rigid looping to get a more naturalistic performance that's slightly off-beat (which is my preference) - it just brings it to life somewhat more :) Congrats, you two!

Ah, by loops I just meant a recording that you've made that would then be looped. And stop pretending you can't play instruments, it's simply not true. You might not play it fluently, but you have a grasp of three instruments. But yes, glad you got it salvaged from your wipe.
