Born as a single child in the family, Tijana spent most of her life moving from one place to another, her parents trying to find a place where they can finally settle down and start a family business, arriving to Twinleaf Town and opening a small Pokemart. She assisted her family as much as she could, and after they gathered enough money they signed her in the Pokemon Combat Academy in Viridian, hoping it will somehow help her in her future life. Also, one of the reasons why they actually signed her in there was her troublesome attitude and the fact she was prone to get involved in fights with older children, as they hoped it will also help her to calm down and learn how to put her abilities to good use. Despite the fact she was having trouble in adapting to the new environment, Tijana soon made some good friends, and her troublesome and headstrong attitude mellowed after she evolved during her Sophomore year.
When not fighting, Tijana enjoys in SciFi movies, comic books or shopping with her friends, or seeking for opponents to "mop the floor with" in the arena. She speaks with a bit of Croatian accent.
