So this is the mask for my Hyena Brigade costume. It's tricky to take a decent selfie in a mirror with restricted vision--(which may explain all those "stand-and-wave" pictures I was complaining about...)--and the lighting is off. The mask is actually more brown than yellowish. I think when I have my husband home to help out, I can get some really nice pictures, including some "heroic action shots." I have a sword that I know they won't let me take into the convention, and a rifle that I KNOW they WON'T let me take into the convention!

The mask tends to slide down as I wear it, so I've tried to pad it a bit on the inside to keep it up. When it droops, it not only cuts off my vision, but about 50% of my air, too. :P
I also think the angle of the camera makes it look odd. When my mouth is closed, the snout obscures most of my chin. In the photo I'm looking down at the camera.
When I put it on for the con, I'll have it settled properly, with some of my hair combed over the black silk ribbon that holds it on.
