The world is large, and it's been around for at least 5,000 years. During creation, Bad Boy dropped free people and adversaries off all over the world with his motorcycle, and then Trackless Gait got several of them lost to make sure there were people everywhere. After thousands of years, in wildly different environments, different breeds have emerged. Unlike the free person/adversary dichotomy where you can only be one, these breeds can also be passed down in part to their children, resulting in a wild variety of people you can run into.

Even though goats are bovidae and deer are cervidae, at some point reality got confused, and some people started coming out with broader traits. The fox-goats are a small breed that are ubiquitous to the Pupil and Iris. It is racist to assume their being a different breed means they have a different, guaranteed personality, as if an entire range of people could be summarized in a simple collection of adjectives. That's not just racist, it's stupid and wrong.

It is an entirely unique personal preference that s'ent Jalis Salt-on-the-Shore Mondegreen, who just HAPPENS to have goat symbolism, likes to stand on tall objects, and prefers people not ever be taller than her. That's just PERSONAL choice. Nothing to do with her being a goat.

Fortunately, she's also a rich and dangerous criminal, so her personal preference is usually everyone else's problem to accommodate. That's fine. Yhelm doesn't mind sitting.
