Shager is one of the many personal characters that I have. I am very busy with commissions, convention prep and IRL things atm so when I have some freetime, I will spend time writing out a bio about Shager.
Key things to know:
-- Shager was not created until I started to do poorly done comic "strips" as a middle schooler a long time ago.
-- There was a cheesy joke in those comics where some of the other gatekeepers would call him the "bunny ears" gatekeeper because the shape and size of his horns (yes...they are actually horns.) reminded me of a rabbit a bit.
-- I wanted a character that looked good color scheme wise next to Bruton: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28860476/
However I did not want to go with a color scheme that would distracting. So, I decided to go with a solid gray to slight yellow color scheme to match a bit with the tiny bit of gray that Bruton has in his own color scheme.
-- The name Shager was actually inspired from Scooby Doo via the character Shaggy. I wanted Sha-GER to be the complete opposite of Shaggy from the personality down to the body type.
-- Shager can cook. This is in reference from me irl since while I get busy with my own duties and work, I still cook.
-- In the past versions of the comic, Shager's attacks would take on a purple hue. That didn't make sense since Malaskas (The main villain and key character) uses energy that is that exact color so I changed it to yellow.
-- Shager is one of the first "real" gatekeepers that I designed.
-- Even now, Shager's actual breed is not known. In the comics, he lives in the Mt.Flare Kingdom where the majority of the Umo Beasts are Dragoons. Those similar to Shager are simply dubbed Gatekeeper with little to no regard to their species.
-- Shager is one of the two gatekeepers in the entire cast that doesn't wear clothing with Clasko being the only close third due to the poor state that they are in.
