Her ears look soft though!!

When she is relaxed, she is soft. If she flexes, her skin gets tough~

Interesting design. Nature won't come up with something like this, because it's not evolutionary feasible to put those delicate lenses connected to brain tissue close to your fighting and thrashing prey, that tries to at least poison you in some way before being chewn on. Or the previous statement is complete nonsense, because you were inspired by some species out there. Anyhow, awesome creature.

Yeah, it wouldn't make much sense for a real animal to have such a design. But that's why she is a monster. It's just a fun concept, not based in speculative evolution or anything. For some reason i had to think of a car when i drew her head ô.o

Maybe because cars aren't based on evolution, either. So they can violate the separation between structural and functional tissue. They're not so soft. Also, Freddy said hi.

Evolution works with what's previously established though. Which is why the nerves for your vocal chords go do into your chest and then back up into your neck. It made sense back when we were fish and head and body were almost the same thing. Not so much since then. If the eyes get out there early on, they may get stuck.
Also almost every species of predator on the planet puts delicate sense organs near their jaws.

Depends on if she is familiar with her surroundings. If she is comfortable she doesn't need to see. She is ok with being "blind".
But in new placed, she often has her mouth open like in the middle picture.

Ah! I'm really happy you find her design memorable. I do like her a lot as well, from what i usually go for in a creature design personally, i think she is the most sucessful so far (a bit creepy, but still approachable - and alien enough to stand out)
I hope i can do more of her in the future :>

Honestly it's not your fault. "Monster girl," constantly brings up either Xenomorph or anime girls with ears or horns, "eyes in mouth," brings up that one scene from beetlejuice, and that's it. XD

True that! I guess i have to give her some additional name, i don't want to name a species per se, but something that makes her easier to discripe and find.
