They are very… strict when it comes to certain things. Changing one’s identity is heavily regulated and subject to much oversight. Changing your name alone can be costly, changing… other aspects of yourself even more so. There is also a fair amount of social stigma attached to such changes.

Growing up in the Dominion is safe enough… but it was… not pleasant for me. I attempted to procure the funding I would need, myself. I took to the fight pits, regulated gladiatorial fights. It was income, but slow… would have taken a long time to reach my goal.

But in the pits… that’s where she found me. She saw me fight… she was impressed. She could also see why I was in there…

She… offered to help me… I accepted. She asked me to join her… I gladly accepted. I was allowed to be myself thanks to her. And the look in her eyes when she saw the real me…

I will follow her anywhere. I will help her as she helped me. She is my lady. And those who defy her… complete annihilation.

The next exciting installment in Adamant Soul related commission from  xehta13 which once again features one of the big bad guys. Introducing Calisto.

Like Ragna, Calisto's backstory was tied into flushing out the AS universe, though her being trans was something I decided on fairly early because of the whole Genetic engineering thing present. But, enter the Valroth Dominion, the fascist government of the apes/monkey, which I realized might have some reservations about identity changing. And through that... a reason why she would sign up with the Aspirant and come to greatly and platonicaly respect Teodora.

Yeah... totally a whole lot of platonic feelings going on. She doesn't have a crush on the woman who saved her. She most definitely doesn't want to be the second mama of their little group.

*chuckles* Fun fact, Calisto's outfit is so skin tight because she wants to show off the real her to everyone. Normally I don't really do the fanservice-y outfit thing... unless I think it would actually be in character. So like Liena and Nine... Calisto likes to show off what she's proud of.
