Timing.
I often do the final edits, lettering, headers, and web push a day or two before the "Go Live" date. Unfortunately, this is too late for me to ask Jan to make any artwork changes. Any last minute changes, I then make.
That's what happened here. As I was adding the dialog, I kept thinking, "Hmm, Craig's eyes feel wrong for some reason." So I went back to Craig's model sheet (http://www.vickifox.com/about/cast-member/craig). His glasses are his "eyes". He only has "normal" eyes if he takes the glasses off. That was an easy change to make - erase all the normal eye detail leaving just the glasses.
Jan created his advertisement image from his original artwork, which does not have the last minute change. I create my advertisement image from the final artwork.
So blame me, the creator of Vicki Fox, editor, and owner of the website for the last minute change to Jan's artwork.

Always good to see Craig again :) Hopefully he gets to pop up in this chapter a few more times!
However, I must admit that it took me more than a few full readings to catch that Craig was saying "I'll handle I. T. and not simply "I'll handle it." I kept trying to reread it to see if I was missing a joke or something since that response sounded so strange at first. Not a bad strip, but I wanted to at least point out the confusion!
