There comes a time where you've gone so low down that lonely path that light doesn't shine through the canopies above. I was at that point in my life, where I accepted my "fate," and just letting myself fall into the shadows where I would never return. I thought I would never be accepted for who I was deep down due to all the mistakes I made long ago. I was a horrible person, and I lashed out at anyone who tried to help me. I always had trust issues. I grew up with them. But I was honestly surprised when I was found, cowering in my own fears and sorrows, on that lonely path. I was shown that there was light, even in the darkest of places that night.

And in those darkest of places, and sometimes in the bright ones too, you find those that are truly just another soul, but one that isn't out to hurt you. You find someone that matters in your life, a friend and sometimes maybe more, but always someone that you should cherish your time with and enjoy it because they make life worth living.
