Demonstrating Potential
This is a brand-new piece of digital gift artwork I created for a close friend's birthday. His character is an unnaturally-powerful Lucario, one that I've come to know quite well. Considering all the heart I put into this, my friend seemed quite appreciative of the piece. It's actually the digitization of an ancient, scrapped sketch.
All in all, I'm content with this one. There are many gripes I could point out, mainly his muscle structure and eyes; however, I don't think I could've really done much better with this piece, 'cause it's pretty much the first time I've attempted the former. I spent about 2 hours staring at it and nitpicking at the faults, to the point where I just said, "Screw it, this is good enough!"
But on the bright side, this is technically one of my first successful digital pieces! I've learned to utilize the Bezier Curve Tool, selecting/transforming functionality, and layers to my advantage, and I think that's how I came out with something so... Shockingly decent.
