The little critter is called a Compy, a new variety of the Amoux species.
They were an isolated group of Raptors, that eventually evolved into a much smaller breed.

The new breed was discovered once a tunnel opened, allowing access from the outside.
The Sanctuary is very lush, with a small stream of fresh water running through it. It's very quiet and peaceful there.
