Cookie bribed the Team Executor manager with money. Which is very bad,despite Cookie being one of the comic's protagonists.

No no, BEFORE this moment. The well/odd sculpted man clearly has a grudge against her. Dude even brought a friggin' small army AND her old girls!

Girls that by the way probably had very good reason to dumb Cookie...they are not drones, and some of them shown they have a sense of honor... Is very complex situation, there must be som VERY VERY bad thing in Cookie's past

Yeah, good analysis of these girls. While we do not know all of them deeply yet, they mostly seem to be good and honorable individuals, (after all one of them saved a Soapland employee from rape back in the good old days.) Cookie must have done something so bad enough that they quit and dumped her. Then along the way they somehow all ran into Shun, who then recruited them over into his own combagal army.

yeah, but I wonder why the Cyclone Crushers are mostly ok with this plan(albeit i don't know how much they know about Gonfalo planning). WTF Cookie did to elicit her former girls rancor? With Nyarai way too many people said it was a bad kitty to start with, but all these girls? something fucked up must have happened

Indeed. as gut-wrenching as what Shun has done to Cookie, and how the audience is reacting agianst her, she shouldn't have had bribed the opposing manager in the first place.

And now we watch to see what happens

Yes, I am holding my breath over how everyone else will react to Gonfano's tape. This is going to be tough for our protagonists.

This is like watching some serious, scary horror movie. the last panel with Cooie facing the angry and disappointed audience is chilling to look at.

What a sudden terrible turn of events. Things were going great for our protagonists but then Shun comes and it gets worse and worse and worse Cookie's bribery of the other manager for Muko's win is now revealed to the entire public!!! Devastating.

Yeah....it was adesperate, albeit somehow legit in this context, move by Cookie considering that Muko had zero chance of winning anything, even if she proved to be better than expected.
But she did not expected that Nyarai was never on board to start with, and more than Muko it was on Nyarai that Cookie bet her life on. And considering that all her former combgals dumped her and joined Gonfalo suggest me that Cookie has serious problem in judging her girls outside their raw skills and potential.
On side note: guys notice the Cyclone Crushers expression here. The fox/kitten has a stern but sad expression like "oh cookie you never learn didn't you?" While the panda girl is more " phfeee, you deserved it, Cookie!"
Really the relation between Cookie and her former Combagals is the most intriguing and magnetizing thing in this comic. What happened? And why Gonfalo seem to have it personally against Cookie?
Really for being a cute a button squirrel she made lot of enemies!

Yeah, as the tape finished with the bribing act, the looks on the faces of those two Cyclone Crushers just tell further of some terrible, painful and regrettable past that happened between them and their former manager. I too have to wonder about the relationship these now Cyclone crushers had with Cookie and how they all broke up with her and why Gonfano hates that poor squirrel enough to utterly destroy her chance to return to managing combagals.

It does seem that Cookie has problems with how she judging the girls she gets for wrestling. After all she managed currently get Muko, a rabbit lady who is disty, perverted and has little fighting skill, and Nyarai, a cheetah woman who hates both her and Muko, and has ties to an enemy of Cookie,

Who... who made the recording of the conversation ?

Whoever did the recording on Shun's behalf did a good job of recording enough damning material against Cookie. While it was edited, the bribery was sadly real.

It's pretty straight forward that it was the catgirl.

She was on her phone the whole time during the meeting and was super nervous when Argund took a look at it.

Indeed, Nyarai had her smartphone at the time of strip club meeting, which would have the technology to record sound. Aso she had motives for turning against Cookie and Muko.l She was with this villain Gonfano from the beginning, hated Cookie for being below a bad manager,, and didn't like having an inexperienced ditzy bunny for a tag combagal partner.

I still say Peki recorded it, the little background info we have is that she was a fighter defeated by team executor and now she works in that team to defend Adelgund's title. Good motive to get out of that position by exposing the team manager and fighter as cheaters.
(Notice how the recording never mentions Nyarai or Peki?)
I still this that this will allow Gonfau to now have 2 more fighters under his wing who will not be part of the cheating scandal while burying the Judge, Cookie and Adelgund down.

The only way out I see right now is that Adelgund and Muko team up to defeat Nyarai and Peki and prove their "Righteousness"

Blank I know that our compulsion is to defend that cute squirrel, but one had to wonder how is even possible for someone to lose the turst of so many girls if not for a serious reason.

The only possible defence line would be claim the audio was edited... Despite I don't think the crowd would give them the benefit of the doubt...

Still, I was wondering... What horrible things Cookie would have done to make Gonfano so mad with her? I mean, it seem like he already destroyed her in the past: he already got all her girls and he's rich, while she had no combagal under her management and was desperatly broke... Why deny her even her last chance to get back in business? If she didn't ran over his dog multiple time right in front of him, he's an ****ole...

yeah, even if there can an attempt,in the sake of defense, to expose that the tape was edited, it still won't change the new negative reception Cooie and Muko is getting from the audience and the press.

As for Gonfano's motive to wreck Cookie's night and attempt to resurrect her career and image, .... well that is a good question. Whatever it was, one thing is for sure. Shun is a very cold and evil guy. He is the comic's big bad villain. No doubt that was has unfolded over these past few pages has shown pure, destructive, antagonistic evil against the comic's heroines. As someone else had pointed out earlier, Kalita may have been ruthless bad girl, but at least she had some sense of honor to her.

Ah karma is a wonderful thing!.Guess over the years Cookies made more enemies than shes realised n,n.Though Im not surprised that ALL of Cookies former combagirls joined a team thats dead against her,After all ignoring the bribery and corruption Cookies still the type of manager to grab some random person off the street and toss them into a match(admittedly a rigged one) without even a single days training.

You made the point of the situation. While we all love Cookie we have to admit is kind of weird of how all her former Combagals dumped her. And we cannot use the same excuses we used with Nyarai.
We know for sure that at least the bat girl is an honorable person, and the cow girl seem a nice girl, and fox/cat girl seem a little sorry for Cookie.
So we have to wonder what and how she screwed up the trust these girl gave her...and if this had to do wtih the missing Cyclone crusher and the opposition of Cookie toward painkillers...

I also have another though. How this is not only going to affect badly on Cookie, her managing career, and image,.. but what this all could effect Muko as well. How could the stuff heard from the tape also badly affect Muko's just beginning combagal career, and, if possible, her feelings about the sport and her relationship with her manager?

Is it just me, or two of the Cyclone Crushers have a negative reception when hearing Cookie's bribe? I think they used to work for her before joining Shun, hence why they are among those who react badly to the recording. Also feel bad for Cookie. She spent two years without promoting a fight, she makes a comeback where she's forced to bribe her enemies to guarantee a victory, and then Shun comes in and humiliates her like that. I feel bad for our squirrel manager.

It's not just those two alone, but ALL and every one of those Cyclone Crusher members formerly were Cookie's combagals. (When they first appeared, Cookie screamed "My...MY GIRLS!")

But, yeah, this is horrible for her for what Gonfano is doing to her. Putting a screeching halt to her wrestling show, show off that he stole her combagals for his own combagal team, and then play an edited tape that shows her corruption in front of the entire public and Muko, painting the squirrel as a bad girl altogether. We feel bad for her.

So the big question now is... WHO recorded this?

Alternatively, Nyarai's phone could have recorded the conversation as well. But the recorder hidden in the purse idea was also a possibility.
