Smiley is a Cheshire Cat who finds joy in telling jokes. Whenever his friends are feeling blue, He tries his best to cheer them up by making them laugh or smile. And has been doing it since he was a kitten.
His closest friends would nickname him "Cheshire Joker" and "Joker Cat" since they knew how much he loved making jokes, especially when it comes with cheering them up.
Smiley found his friends way more important then his parents, since they never really cared for him when he was a kitten...years later, Smiley then meets and becomes part of Lockjaw's gang.
