The brightest I/eye in the sky is Ardent/Argent, the first successor god created by the surviving heirs and the only god created through the cooperation of all the heirs. During the day, Ardent's eye is open and daylight happens. As night comes his eye gets sleepy and closes and it gets dark. After it closes, the eye slits open again, but now it's with a soft, silvery light as Argent wakes up. In this way Ardent/Argent trade being day and night, never to coexist.
They are deeply in love and can never meet. This is by design, and after 5,000 years they're coping with it, but it's still a sore spot in their hearts.
Ardent is a cheerful, earnest, kinda stupid guy who is really excited about everything. If you hold him a parade in his honor he will probably manifest and march along with joy. He's loved especially by farmers, party-goers, and heroes. Ardent's motto is: Face everything head on and never blink!
Argent is a reserved, patient, vengeful gal who thinks everything through before acting. If you're having a really bad time, Argent might come down to help you. She's loved especially by politicians, doctors, and the weak. Argent's motto is: This pain won't last forever. Soon, it will be their turn.

They are metafictionally one entity, but like all successor entities (the first set of entities the heirs (the initial concepts that collab to make a world) make to maintain world stability and provide story context) they live mostly on the ground floor so it's no real comfort to them
Letters are way too small-time. Ardent will win a tournament and dedicate his victory to Argent. He'll hire poets and musicians to woo the night-eye after he's gone to sleep. He'll visit Argent's churches and bring gifts for her favorite devotees. He'll carve the living rock into a statue of Argent and leave it in the open for her to find at night.
Argent's displays of love are a lot more subtle and subdued but are always tiny little things Ardent just barely almost misses noticing but when he does he goes "ooohhhh"
