RIP Shon Howell
The fandom lost another great one, Shon Howell, AKA
king-cheetah passed away from an aggressive liver cancer.
I remember when Shon came on the scene in the late-80s and when he helped launch Antarctic Press. Always famous for his big titted female babes and a toony yet sexy style.
When I heard back in December that he had stage 4 liver cancer, I cringed, he said he had 15 months to 2 years. I saw the photos of him in the hospital and again later. I had horrible flashbacks to the late Mike 'McMoo' McMurry who also had aggressive liver cancer that quickly spread to his stomach and intestines. How he went from a strapping 220 pounds to looking like a frail old man within 6 months before passing away.
Those photos told me the exact same thing was happening with Shon sadly. And he lost his battle far too quickly. If theres anything to be said, he's no longer suffering from that horrible disease.
Say Hi to McMoo, Vicky and Fred for us Shon.

It´s really regretable, he wasn´t so old at all, discovered his stuff 17 years ago when i started to get curious about the furry art and it´s community, i always found his art stuff quite stylish and entertaining, he´ll be remembered dearly, if there is an afterlife or somenthing, i hope he´s doing better wherever he is now.
I never really knew him that well. I wish I got the chance when it was given to me.
I always saw his style around and thought it was fun and silly, but never my taste. I always enjoyed it for what it was. Even saw him a couple times at Texas Furry Fiesta and AC.
He sounds like he was an amazing guy getting Antarctic Press going. he will be greatly missed.
