Yeah, I feel like that's the trouble with some of these more intensive crafting arts - metalworking, smithing, leathercraft, carpentry, etc. They require a bunch of things just to get started, and so that "money hump" of initial investment can prevent interested folk from ever getting involved x_x I know my husband would love to have a wood workshop at some point, but so long as he's studying abroad it's just not feasible :b
Maybe you would enjoy miniatures/modelling? Or crafting a chainmail shirt? I'm pretty sure chainmail is actually not too expensive to make - just time-consuming!

Hah, Yeah. I sorta tried models on a whim, I glued them together then never really touched them again afterward for no real reason.
Chainmail shirt would be cool, i wonder if having experience in knitting helps. xD
But nah i'm in the bracket of 'no money'. I can't afford any hobbies.
