Not everyone who serves does so because they agree with the ideology. Some do it because "it's a job."
Keela kept trying to come up with ways to kill off her commanding officer, then-Colonel Jinjur, and make it look like an accident. So I'd say she was never a big fan of the Black Watch, she just happened to get on that team. Possibly she figured out that Jinjur was evil after having been with the Watch for a little while--think of the Brigade units like sports teams and the analogy works a lot better. Keela (or Teeza at the time) got picked out of college by the Pittsburgh Steelers. And then she finds out that the coach is a criminal, but she can't do anything about it except plot the downfall of the coach. Then the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens finds out how much she hates being on the Steelers, and offers her a contract to play for the Ravens.
The bigger question should be, "How did Koz get to date a girl from the Black Watch...?"

Well, I'd imagine that they were both off duty. He was drunk, she was drunk. They got into an argument over cards or something, started fighting, trying to tear each other's fur and teeth out, ripping off various armors and disarming every make shift weapon and eventually wore each other out before one turned to the other and asked, "well, was that as good for you as it was for me?" And then they made out and… this is where I get off this crazy train as I'd rather not go any further into details *grabs parachute and does a backflip out an unbroken window*
