This was taken during my visit to New York City last month. This house is located at 75 1/2 Bedford Street in the West Village of Manhattan, New York City. It is commonly known as the Edna St. Vincent Millay House after the poet of the same name who once lived there.
Other people have lived in this house such as cartoonist William Steig, Margaret Mead and writer Ann McGovern; this was the inspiration for McGovern's 1980 picture book Mr. Skinner's Skinny House illustrated by Mort Gerberg.
This is said to be the narrowest townhouse in the entire city. The interior of the house measures eight feet seven inches wide; its narrowest point is only two feet wide!
