This is page 1 of my webcomic. Just some set-up and me figuring out comic layout... it has gotten better since this lol! On my Patreon I add 1-2 new pages each month! This is my first attempt at a full-length comic, and it's not easy, but it is teaching me a lot!

I *think you may be too focused on the D&D variation. Kobolds from their original mythologies take a much broader range of description: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobold
Ah, I was wondering about your take on them...I first remember them from OLD school D&D when they were mentioned as dog like...then they became the lizzard dudes...then I read about the german origin then saw some blue dudes riding bats as comic book characters (I wish I could remember the name...)...
After seeing/reading you stuff I can see why he's a dad/microbear type ;)
It's good to see diff kinds...

I would say that you had one great start there, the panels have a good (if rather plain) composition, I didn't get lost once reading the speech bubbles and the expressions are great, my only recommendation would be to make the panels slightly more dynamic.
In the third and fourth panels with the Kobold being the main piece of the scene and the person he was talking to being far taller than him you could have made the sequence more engaging by setting the 2 panels in a bit of "a slope" making it smaller near to where the kobold was and enlarging to where the human was,it would give the size disparity between them a much greater emphasis.
