Cool. *Nods* Like I said, I had wondered about that for a while by nows
My technique is as follows...
1 - Draw on standard fare, ruled notebook paper
2 - use digital techniques (Gimp) to darken the lineart and whiten the background, thereby removing the "paper look" to
the BG around my linework, as well as remove the blue colored lines in the ruled notebook paper scan..
3 - Use Inkscape (Open Source answer to Adobe Illustrator to smooth the rough linework out).
4 - Take it back under gimp... begin color filling within the linework
5 - Add in my special "fur texture technique" as I call it to give it more of a furred and less flat looking look.
6 - Shading in various spots
And, all in all, that's pretty muchy about it. I did try drawing with a graphics table at one
point, but still more used to working with standard fare pencil and paper for drawing the linework.
