Well, they're in the Hyena Brigade, and have probably been sent to fight in foreign wars, as the Brigade are mercenaries.

You know, that's something that bothered me reading this comic. If they're mercenaries then why do they call themselves warriors? Isn't that like when Fisi called herself a warrior even though assassins and warriors are two different things?

It's because they choose to think of themselves as noble warriors. And the mercenaries I'm using as inspiration for the Hyena Brigade are the Hessians. They were an army whose duke rented them out to fight wars for other countries.
