The first time I saw Fantasia I must have been 13 or 14. I've loved Centaur ladies (Centaurettes) ever since. Hippos, you can have 'em.
BTW, most of the peripheral action in the Centaur section (e.g., the little pastel-haired cherubs) were done by Walt Kelly, later of Pogo Possum fame. He either wouldn't or couldn't match the style of the other artists, and they were unable to match his style. One of his reasons for shaking Disney's hand and walking away forever during the 1941 strike.

There was a little African American (or maybe, African Olympian) Centaurette edited out of the film since 1969. I don't know who the artist/animator was; it doesn't look like Kelly's work.
