Do you have any prior experience with fursuits?
I have worn fursuits three times before commissioning and had about 6 hours experience with suiting. This is the first fursuit I have owned.
How many hours have you worn/used the item(s) you're reviewing?

Did the maker finish the item by the expected date (ETA)?
YES - the ETA was accurate
Did you tell the maker about any issues you had?
Yes: There were some sizing issues at first fitting. The maker fixed this before the final suit was picked up. One color fur also has a weak backing resulting in early popped seams that the maker has taught me how to fix.
HEAD
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the head of the costume. If you are reviewing only a set of ears, your answers would also go in this section.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
I am very pleased with the way the head fits. It is made on a Dreamvision Creations Manokit base and is comfortably snug around my head. The head is neither too large or too small, and it does not shift much even when I move around a lot. It is lined with a lycra balaclava and there is no exposed foam at all, even down the back of the neck where there is foam to form his mohawk. The head is easy to clean and all I need to do is wipe the inside down with alcohol after use. The cowl fits closely to my neck and there is no chance of the head falling off. Ventilation is about average, and there is a fan in the muzzle to increase airflow. Due to the base that the head is on, vision is relatively poor: there is a fairly large blind spot between the eyes and under them, and it has a small amount of peripheral vision. This was something I was aware of when commissioning the suit.

All of the markings on the head are accurate to the ref sheet, none are missing. Markings are mostly symmetrical, with only a minor issue in one eye that the maker herself noticed and fixed before I picked up the final suit. Fur quality in general is good and soft, and the backing for most of the head does not show. Due to the type of fur being used there is some backing that shows on front of the nose, but the maker has gone out of her way to attempt to fix it. The default expression is fitting to the character, and even with the static, squinting eyes I can manage slightly different expressions.
Special Attachments and Features
Please describe how satisfied you are with any extra features your head has.
There is a fan in the muzzle of the head, powered by a 9-volt battery hidden in the back of the neck. It is easy to use, and does a great job at keeping me cool for extended suiting periods. There are also magnets in the neck of the suit that match up with magnets in the body, which keep the neck markings in place. This was a new feature which required some trial and error on the maker to keep them in place, but they are now sturdy and do not come off.
BODY
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the body of the costume.
If you are reviewing armsleeves or legs/pants that are seperate from a bodysuit, your answers would also go in this section.
(Appendages, such as hands, feet, tails, etc., are discussed later.) Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
After the torso of the body was altered to be smaller, it has fit great. I have a full range of motion in the arms and legs, and have not had any issues with it being too tight or loose in any area of the body. I have even been able to take part in a dance competition in it without any mobility issues! Getting it on and off is relatively easy, and I do not need any assistance. The digigrade padding is lycra pillows filled with a high quality polifil balls that can be pulled apart and fluffed up whenever they are compressed too much due to use. There has been some popped seam issues related to a fur color with a weak backing, but none with any other fur colors.

The colors and markings are very on point to the reference sheet. Most of the suit is double machine stitched and is symmetrical across the body. The markings are hand sewn and are trimmed down to ensure that they are crisp and well visible. The padding creates a smooth, slim digi look that is realistic and helps to accent the animal leg shape.

There are magnets in the chest that attach to the magnets in the neck to make sure that the head and neck markings line up. His dorsal fin in the back is also magnetic and can be removed. The magnets for this feature are very strong, and it does not come off unless someone makes considerable an effort to pull it off. Putting it on is more difficult as fur gets in the way of attaching it. There are additional magnets in the tail sleeve that match with magnets in the tail.
HANDS AND FEET
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the hands and feet of the costume.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
Both hands and feet fit perfectly. The feet are on a pair of shoes that I picked out and provided to the maker. Half of the digi-padding is in the feet, making them taller than most detached feet, but they are lined to hide the foam and prevent chafing. Walking is comfortable, and the paws are very sturdy. Traction in the outdoor soles is amazing due to the unique rubber bottoms that the maker uses. The feet in general are slightly heavier than most due to extra features and took some time to get used to the extra weight and surface area.
Hand paws are four fingered, have minky claws, and are unlined. They are stuffed with removable poly-fil pillows at the tip of each digit, and each pad has been stuffed. Despite this, I have enough dexterity in these hands to grab large things and doors.

Both look great and are as big and feral as I asked for! The markings and colors are perfect, as are the claws and pawpads. The lux shag fur is short enough that it does have some issues with pilling and visible backing, but is resolved with thorough brushing. The feet look like they have been attached to the body due to the maker’s style of digit-grade, but still give me the benefits of having detached feet.
Special Attachments and Features
Please describe how satisfied you are with any extra features your hands or feet have.
The feet have removable paw bottoms that are attached by strong magnets. The magnets are strong enough to hold the bottoms on even while dancing, but this can make it difficult to remove and change the bottoms. It came with two bottoms, one ‘indoor’ bottom that has fur and pawpads, and an ‘outdoor’ bottom that has a very sturdy, rubber sole. The rubber sole is extremely durable and has only shown minor wear after approximately 20 hours use. Due to the light colored fur, the indoor bottoms do show some of the dark foam underneath after use.
TAILS
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the tail(s) of the costume.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
The tail is detached and is worn by a belt. It has a wide foam base covered in fabric, and it lays comfortably against my tailbone. There is ample support for it to stick straight out behind me, and it has an elastic and foam core that gives it a good amount of sway as I walk or wag it. And it is immensely fun to sway it.

One of my favorite parts of the suit! The general appearance matches up to the character’s reference, and the markings on it are crisp and clean. Markings are symmetrical, and the fur is shaved well across the entire tail.
Special Attachments and Features
Please describe how satisfied you are with any extra features your tail(s) have.
There are hidden magnets in the top and bottom of the tail that match up with magnets in a tailsleeve on the bodysuit. This makes the tail appear attached and provides additional anchoring for the tail’s movement.
OVERALL SATISFACTION
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with the overall buying experience, including your interactions with the maker and the resulting final product. How well does everything fit together and match up?
I am overall very satisfied with how the fursuit came together. Now that the bodysuit has been taken in, all parts fit well with no sizing issues. The markings line up together well on all parts, and I am especially pleased that the neck markings match up so well with the body. The digi padding is smooth, and the maker’s style avoids any ‘broken ankle’ issues.
How easy was it to initially contact the maker for a quote?
I first found the maker’s quote opening through their twitter business account. Quote request and original commission was done through email. Maker broke down all the features I requested, the estimated completion date, and any extra details that would be required from me.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take the maker to get back to you?
Extremely responsive. Quote was responded to within two days. After commissioning, she usually responded within 4-8 hours of sending a message requesting any information, often less.
How satisfied are you with the professionalism and customer service and of the maker?
Due to being a friend with the maker, I cannot speak about their professionalism.
How satisfied are you with how long your project took to complete?
About 2 months.
Are you happy with the product you received?
Very high quality, it would be hard to tell that she was a new maker from the quality of her suits. Stitches are done well and I did not notice any incomplete seams. Customer service has been fantastic, and she has offered a great deal of advice and support with my first fursuit. Judging by construction quality, I’d expect this suit to last several years.
Describe your overall experience with this maker.
As Spiritpanda’s first commissioner, I expected there to be some bumps along the way as she figured out her commission process. But there were few issues at all: Spiritpanda communicated with me regularly while she made my suit, let me know of any delays, and did her best to resolve any issues that arose. After the suit was finished, she has been immensely supportive in teaching me how to fix any issues with the suit and has been willing to fix anything that I cannot. She’s made my first commission experience as easy as possible. I am highly satisfied with how Eventide has turned out, would recommend her and would gladly commission her again in the future.
