attempting to get my garden in working order and I spotted these delightful sonsabitches sprooting right out of the concrete of my back porch making frens with some bricks and pine needles. If anyone can point me in one or more direcction(s) as to the taxonomical and/or common name(s[eses]) of these flowers so that I can fill out the appropriate legal documents for them to rent this space on my back porch, I would a p p r e c i a n t e

Your location might be some hint. Mostly the climate, what likes to grow where, etc. Flower scale is important too, but the presence of the needles helps. It definitely looks like a dog violet, though. They're a collection of similarly looking Viola species, and a few are American natives.
